This 3-day journey gives you the perfect taste of Mongolia’s nature, wildlife, and culture — all within easy reach of Ulaanbaatar. Explore Hustai National Park, home to the world’s last wild horses, and meet a nomadic herder family to experience Mongolia’s traditional way of life.

Continue through the quiet forests of Bogd Khan Mountain and the atmospheric ruins of Manzushir Monastery before heading into the dramatic landscapes of Gorkhi–Terelj National Park. Here, you’ll visit the famous Turtle Rock and climb to Ariyabal Meditation Temple for sweeping mountain views.

Your adventure ends at the iconic Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue, where you can rise to the viewing platform for a panoramic look at the open steppe.

Tour Itineraries

Day 01. Ulaanbaatar - Hustai National Park

At 9:00 AM, your guide will meet you at your hotel and drive west to Hustai National Park, home of the rare Takhi wild horses. After checking in to the tourist camp and enjoying lunch, we explore the southern valley near Mount Ungut, visiting ancient “man stones” and spotting wildlife along the way.

You’ll also visit a local nomadic family to experience traditional herder life and learn how people live closely with their animals. In the late afternoon, we take a short hike to search for Przewalski’s wild horses in their natural habitat — an unforgettable sight.

Day 02. Bogd Khan Mountain & Manzushir Monastery - Terelj National Park

After breakfast, we depart at 9:00 AM and drive toward Gorkhi–Terelj National Park. On the way, we visit Manzushir Monastery, located in the forests of Bogd Khan Mountain. Once home to more than 300 monks, the ruins and restored temple now offer a peaceful setting and a small museum to explore.

We then continue to Terelj National Park and check in at our tourist camp surrounded by granite cliffs and forested valleys. After lunch, we take a short trip to Turtle Rock, followed by a visit to the Ariyabal Meditation Temple. From the top, you’ll enjoy wide panoramic views over the scenic Terelj landscape.

Day 03. Terelj National Park - Genghis Khan Statue Complex- Ulaanbaatar

Enjoy a relaxed morning at the camp—take a walk, take photos, or simply unwind before lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the impressive Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex, the tallest horse statue in the world at 40 meters high. Explore the museum and ride the elevator to the viewing platform on the horse’s head for sweeping views over the open steppe.

After the visit, we drive back to Ulaanbaatar, arriving at your hotel around 5:00 PM, completing a memorable 3-day journey through Mongolia’s nature, culture, and history.
