Ulaanbaatar City Tour
We offer you the most highlighted sightseeing tour around Ulaanbaatar city
This six-day trek is for travellers who want the real thing. Departing from a nomadic horse-herding family in Terelj National Park, the route crosses the Khavirga Pass into the Khan Khentii Strictly Protected Area — 1.2 million hectares of almost uninhabited wilderness where hunting is banned and wildlife roams freely. Brown bears, wolves, and rare bird species inhabit these forests. No vehicles follow you in. Your gear travels by pack horse. The trail passes through pine and larch forest, over mountain ridges, and across cold clear rivers until the trees open to reveal Khagiin Khar Lake — 20 metres deep, glacial blue, surrounded by silence. You'll spend a full rest day here before riding back through the Jalman Mountain area to your nomadic hosts, who will welcome you with tea and dinner one last time. The final morning brings a stop at the Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue — the largest horse statue in the world — before returning to Stepperiders Camp. One of our most remote and rewarding adventures.
