Hustai National Park, often called the Wild Horse Park, lies around 100 km (62 miles) west of Ulaanbaatar. It is the best place in Mongolia to see the rare Takhi (Przewalski’s horse) roaming freely in its natural habitat.
The protected area is a beautiful blend of wide steppe grasslands, gentle mountain slopes, patches of Gobi-type sand dunes, and small river valleys that support diverse wildlife. This environment creates perfect conditions for hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, wildflower photography, and simply enjoying the peaceful beauty of Mongolia’s untouched nature.
