This full-day ride takes you deep into Terelj National Park, one of Mongolia's most beloved protected areas, where rocky cliffs rise above wide valleys and the Tuul River winds through meadows of wildflowers and grazing horses. You'll ride alongside a local nomadic family — not as a staged encounter, but as genuine hosts who share their trails and their landscape with you. Cross open grasslands, pick up pace on the flat stretches, and stop wherever the view demands it. Your guide will take you to quieter corners of the park that most visitors never reach. By evening, you'll return to Ulaanbaatar having spent a full day in one of Central Asia's most beautiful valleys — having covered it the only way that truly makes sense.

Tour Itineraries
Day Itinerary – Terelj Day Horse Riding Adventure
Your adventure begins with an 8:00 AM pick-up from your hotel and a beautiful drive into Gorkhi–Terelj National Park. Upon arrival at a local nomadic family’s home, you’ll be welcomed with warm drinks and light snacks while being introduced to your horse and guide team.
After preparing your gear and receiving a short safety briefing, we begin riding around 10:30 AM, heading out across open grasslands, gentle hills, and peaceful riverside trails. Terelj’s dramatic rock formations and wide valleys create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day on horseback.
Around 1:00 PM, we stop for a relaxing lunch with hot drinks, giving you time to rest and enjoy the scenery. We continue riding at 2:30 PM, following new trails and taking in the afternoon views as the light shifts across the mountains.
We return to the nomadic family’s home at approximately 5:00 PM, where refreshments await. While you unwind, you’ll have the chance to watch the horses being unsaddled and released—always a beautiful moment as they stretch, roll, and trot back to join their herd.
After farewells, we drive you back to Ulaanbaatar and drop you at your hotel.
