Welcome to Mongolia! Upon landing at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, you will be greeted by your Stepperiders driver and taken directly to your hotel in the capital. This morning you will join the lively celebration of Mongolia’s most important cultural event — the Naadam Festival. At 8:00 AM, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the central stadium, where the city fills with color, traditional costumes, and music.
You will first visit the anklebone shooting competition, followed by the archery grounds, where skilled archers — both men and women — shoot in beautifully embroidered deels. Outside the stadium, you’ll have time to experience the festive atmosphere, street food stalls, souvenir vendors, and local families dressed in their finest traditional outfits.
Next, you will enter the main stadium for the official Opening Ceremony, filled with music, performances, military parades, and the introduction of Mongolia’s best wrestlers. You will stay to watch the beginning rounds of traditional wrestling, the oldest and most iconic Naadam sport.
In the afternoon, you will explore Ulaanbaatar’s highlights, visiting Zaisan Memorial Hill for a panoramic view over the city and surrounding mountains, followed by a guided walk through the historic Bogd Khan Winter Palace Museum.
This evening, enjoy our special Naadam Evening Celebration Dinner, a warm and festive night of traditional music, dance, and Mongolian cuisine — the perfect way to end your first festival day.

Today starts early as you head to Hui Doloon Khudag, the famous horse racing field of Naadam. Here you will witness long-distance horse races, where young jockeys ride at incredible speed across the open steppe. The energy, dust, crowds, and cheering make this one of Naadam’s most unforgettable highlights. You’ll have time for photos and to meet local trainers and families.
Afterward, you will continue your journey west toward the Bayan Gobi sand dunes, a striking semi-desert area framed by rugged mountains and small streams. Upon arrival at your ger camp, take some time to rest before visiting a camel-herding family. You’ll enjoy a traditional home-cooked lunch and have the chance to taste Hormog, a lightly fermented camel milk drink cherished in this region.
Later, you will enjoy a peaceful camel ride along the sand dunes — a serene and beautiful experience as the afternoon light softens over the desert landscape.

After breakfast, continue your journey through the heart of central Mongolia. The drive takes you across wide open grasslands, past rivers, nomadic herder camps, and volcanic basalt formations. Eventually, you will reach the UNESCO-listed Orkhon Valley, one of Mongolia’s most historically rich regions.
Upon arrival at your camp, enjoy lunch before heading out to explore the impressive Orkhon Waterfall, a 27-meter cascade formed thousands of years ago by volcanic activity. The area is perfect for photography and short walks along the river gorge.
In the evening, visit a local nomadic family to learn more about their daily life and traditions. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxed one-hour horseback ride through the scenic valley.

This morning, travel deeper into the mountains as you head toward the beautiful Tsenkher Valley. The journey takes you through forests, rolling hills, and peaceful meadows — some of the greenest and most pleasant landscapes in central Mongolia.
Arrive at the famous Tsenkher Hot Springs, where natural mineral water flows at a constant warm temperature. After lunch and check-in, enjoy free time to relax in the outdoor hot spring pools or take a gentle walk around the area to enjoy the fresh mountain air and wildflowers.

After breakfast, drive to Karakorum, the ancient capital founded by Genghis Khan in the 13th century. Visit the Karakorum Museum to learn more about the Mongol Empire and its role along the historic Silk Road.
Continue your visit at the Erdene Zuu Monastery, the first Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, surrounded by a wall of 108 white stupas.
In the late afternoon, continue to Ugii Lake, a quiet freshwater lake famous for its birdlife. Check in to your camp and enjoy a peaceful evening by the lakeshore.

Depart for Hustai National Park, home of the world’s last truly wild horses — the Takhi, or Przewalski’s horse. After lunch and check-in near the park, visit the information center to learn about the preservation efforts.
Later in the afternoon, drive into the park to observe the wild horses in their natural environment. With some luck, you may also spot marmots, deer, eagles, or foxes.

This morning you will travel to Terelj National Park, one of the most visited parks in Mongolia due to its spectacular granite formations and forested valleys. After arrival, visit the well-known Turtle Rock and then walk up to the Ariyabal Meditation Temple, located on a hillside with sweeping views over the park.
Spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the peaceful surroundings and fresh mountain air.

After breakfast, begin your return to Ulaanbaatar. On the way, stop at the Genghis Khan Statue Complex, the world’s tallest equestrian statue. Take the elevator to the horse’s head for panoramic views over the steppe.
Back in the city, visit Gandan Monastery, home to the giant golden statue of Migjid Janraisig. Continue to the National History Museum to explore Mongolia’s history from ancient times to today. End your city tour at Sukhbaatar Square, the heart of Ulaanbaatar.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional cultural performance featuring throat singing, dance, and contortionists, followed by dinner.
