This morning you will join the lively celebration of Mongolia’s most important cultural event — the Naadam Festival. At 8:00 AM, your guide will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the central stadium, where the city fills with color, traditional costumes, and music.
You will first visit the anklebone shooting competition, followed by the archery grounds, where skilled archers — both men and women — shoot in beautifully embroidered deels. Outside the stadium, you’ll have time to experience the festive atmosphere, street food stalls, souvenir vendors, and local families dressed in their finest traditional outfits.
Next, you will enter the main stadium for the official Opening Ceremony, filled with music, performances, military parades, and the introduction of Mongolia’s best wrestlers. You will stay to watch the beginning rounds of traditional wrestling, the oldest and most iconic Naadam sport.
In the afternoon, you will explore Ulaanbaatar’s highlights, visiting Zaisan Memorial Hill for a panoramic view over the city and surrounding mountains, followed by a guided walk through the historic Bogd Khan Winter Palace Museum.
This evening, enjoy our special Naadam Evening Celebration Dinner, a warm and festive night of traditional music, dance, and Mongolian cuisine — the perfect way to end your first festival day.
