We rent horses and equipment only.
No guide is included — this is a true independent solo trek experience.
To rent our horses, you must:
complete at least 5 days of training
inform us in advance so we can prepare horses and equipment
demonstrate safe riding and handling during training
Our horses are well-trained, calm, and reliable, making them far safer than purchasing a random horse from a herder — which can be unpredictable for long journeys.
For this reason, we strongly recommend trekking with our horses.

Safety & Emergency Planning
Solo trekking requires responsible preparation.
You must have a personal emergency plan, including:
your embassy’s phone number
insurance emergency number
international emergency clinic contacts (we recommend SOS Medica)
closed-front stirrups (to reduce the risk of being dragged)
lightweight camping equipment
water filter or purification system
Note:
We do not rent GPS trackers or satellite phones.
Most solo trekkers rent these in their home country through insurance or outdoor equipment companies.
Food, Supplies & Daily Costs
Basic food can be purchased in Ulaanbaatar and in small countryside villages.
You can also bring special items from home if you prefer.
Daily expenses on a solo trek are very low — most riders spend 5–10 USD per day, covering:
simple meals
national park entry fees
