Ulaanbaatar City Tour
We offer you the most highlighted sightseeing tour around Ulaanbaatar city
The journey begins just outside Ulaanbaatar, where the sweeping steppe leads to one of Mongolia’s most impressive landmarks — the towering Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue. Rising 40 meters above the plain, this gleaming monument celebrates the legacy of Mongolia’s legendary founder. Inside the structure, you’ll find a cultural center, small museum, and gift shops. Visitors can access the panoramic viewing platform by elevator or staircase, emerging at the horse’s head for an unforgettable perspective of the surrounding landscape.
Continuing further northeast, we enter Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, a protected area known for its alpine forests, dramatic granite rock formations, and peaceful river valleys. Just a short scenic drive from the city (around 70 km), Terelj is one of Mongolia’s most loved natural destinations — perfect for travelers wanting a mix of nature, culture, and adventure in a single day.
Among the park’s main highlights is Turtle Rock (Melkhii Khad), a massive rock whose shape naturally resembles a giant turtle — a must-see photo stop. Nearby, you’ll have the chance to ride a horse or camel, a unique and fun way to explore the area.
A short walk from the valley brings you toward Ariyabal Meditation Temple, a quiet sanctuary located on a hillside. Reaching the temple involves crossing a suspension bridge and following a symbolic stairway to the top, representing a spiritual cleansing path in Buddhism. From the temple terrace, breathtaking views stretch across the rocky mountains and green meadows of the national park.
Finally, a visit to a local nomadic family offers a warm introduction to Mongolia’s traditional lifestyle. Share tea and dairy snacks, learn how people live alongside their animals, and experience a culture that has been preserved for centuries.
