On the last day, meet the endangered Przewalski’s wild horses (Takhi) in Hustai National Park and enjoy the wide-open steppe views before returning to Ulaanbaatar.

Day 01. Ulaanbaatar - Hugnu Khan National park

Day 03. Hustai National Park - Ulaanbaatar
We start the day at 9:00 AM with a pickup from your hotel and drive into the stunning landscape of Hugnu Khan National Park. This unique place combines rocky mountains, semi-desert scenery, Gobi-like sand, and wide grasslands — four beautiful environments in one area. It’s perfect for short hiking and taking amazing photos of nature.
After lunch at the tourist camp, we visit Uvgun Monastery, hidden among the dramatic rocks and hills. Later in the afternoon, you’ll meet a friendly nomadic family and learn how they live closely with their animals — a lifestyle passed down for many generations.

After breakfast, a short drive brings us to the beautiful Elsen Tasarkhai dunes, where golden sand meets rivers, green valleys, and small forests. This is a great place to try Bactrian camel riding — Mongolia is home to most of the world’s two-humped camels!
We then continue to Karakorum, once the capital of the Great Mongol Empire. Here, we visit the museum showcasing the city’s powerful history and the legendary Erdene Zuu Monastery with its 108 surrounding stupas — one of Mongolia’s oldest and most important Buddhist sites.
In the evening, we travel to Ugii Lake, a peaceful freshwater lake known for birdwatching and beautiful sunsets.

After breakfast, we begin driving back toward the capital. Along the way, we stop at Hustai National Park, famous for its successful reintroduction of the Takhi — the world’s last truly wild horses. After lunch at the camp restaurant, we visit the small museum to learn about the park’s wildlife and conservation efforts.
We then drive into the park to look for wild horses in their natural habitat — a special moment for any traveler. After the visit, we continue back to Ulaanbaatar, arriving around 6:00 PM.
