Tour Itineraries

Day 01. Ulaanbaatar - Hustai National Park

At 9:00 AM, your guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and set off westward toward Hustai National Park — a protected area famous for the reintroduced Takhi, also known as Przewalski’s wild horse. The park’s scenery shifts beautifully between rolling steppe and rocky mountain slopes.

After checking in to the tourist camp and enjoying lunch, we will head into the southern valley near Mount Ungut. Here, you’ll have the chance to spot various wildlife and visit an ancient collection of stone figures (“man stones”) dating back to the 6th–8th centuries.

We will also stop by a nomadic family’s home to experience the traditional way of life that has been preserved for generations. You may join simple herding chores and learn how closely Mongolians live alongside their livestock.

Later in the afternoon, continue exploring deeper into the national park on a short hike. With some patience and quiet observation, you’ll have a great opportunity to see the endangered wild horses roaming freely in their natural habitat — a rare moment that feels like stepping back in time.

Day 02. Bogd Khan Mountain & Manzushir Monastery - Terelj National Park

After breakfast, we depart at 9:00 AM and drive toward Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, one of Mongolia’s most scenic and popular nature destinations. Along the way, we stop at Manzushir Monastery, located inside Bogd Khan Mountain — one of the world’s oldest protected areas. Once a large monastic complex with more than 20 temples and over 300 monks, it was destroyed in the 1930s, but the restored main temple now serves as a small museum.

We then continue to Terelj National Park, arriving at our tourist camp set among towering granite formations and beautiful forested valleys. After lunch, take a short excursion to Turtle Rock, a natural rock formation shaped like a giant turtle, and then visit the peaceful Ariyabal Meditation Temple, perched on a hillside surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. From the top, you’ll enjoy a sweeping view over Terelj’s landscape — perfect for photos and a moment of quiet reflection.

This morning is yours to enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings. Take a leisurely walk, photograph the landscape, or simply relax at the camp before lunch.

In the afternoon, we visit the impressive Genghis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex — the tallest horse statue in the world at 40 meters high. Explore the museum inside the structure and then take the elevator up to the horse’s head, where you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the vast Mongolian steppe.

After the visit, we head back to Ulaanbaatar, arriving at your hotel around 5:00 PM — marking the end of a memorable 3-day adventure into Mongolia’s wilderness and history.
